The 2013 Philippines mid-term election is crucial for us Filipinos. The problem of being presented a limited choice of candidates result to the decision of simply choosing the lesser evil among the candidates.
The peoples’ choice is being complicated by issues affecting our political scenario like: 1. Political Dynasty; 2. RH Law; 3. Cash Conditional Transfer; 4. Massive corruption; 5. Increasing Unemployment Rate; 6. Rising Hunger Distance; 7. Prevalent Incidence of Criminal Incidences; 8. Growing Prostitution; 9. Illegal Gambling; and 10. Smuggling;
We have so many issues and social problems that need to be solved other than what has been enumerated above.
However, our electorates or voters should only focus on certain issues that matters most to the majority of Filipinos in selecting and electing our choice candidates for the senate.
Who has the performance track record and the inner goodness to provide and generate jobs for the millions of jobless Filipinos? Who are the best public servant candidates that can competently legislate laws and properly govern our people so that more foods will be found in every table of Filipino families?
Actually, most social issues and problems stems from the lack of financial capability of our citizens to support at least the basic needs of their families, hence, job creation should rank as the number 1 concern of the majority of our electorates.
If all employable age can find a suitable job commensurate to their abilities then our future generation will have a brighter future and will have all the opportunities to better their lives.

The failure of the employer sectors to pay the proper minimum wage is just a secondary problem. The non compliant employers’ can only afford to pay lower wages than what has been mandated by law because so many people has no jobs as compared to the number of jobs available.
Comparatively, if there is abundance of jobs compared to job seekers then employers will compete with each other and will be force to pay higher wages more than what the law requires.
Good governance means being able to create jobs for its people. With insufficient jobs, others that are going hungry will resort to prostitution, begging and involve themselves in criminal activities like pick-pocketing, robberies and the likes just to feed and support the needs of their families. Indeed, the best crime prevention is making jobs available for all.
The next generation of our people will become less and less globally competitive because the parents of the hundreds of thousands of our youth can no longer afford to send their children to schools. Hence, the best education program starts with the parents being able to land in jobs or their employable children can get some job assignments to help their parents in paying for their education.
No jobs or insufficient jobs available make our citizens susceptible to employers’ abuse through payment of low salaries that is not commensurable to the job assignments being given to the workers.
Our government, on the other hand, is killing the business communities by imposing more and more taxes and or increasing business taxes.
Incompetence in governance results to no power in Mindanao. The no power or higher power rates options is the result of lack of competent forward planning and perhaps an agenda to serve some personal interest of the chosen few.
We can enumerate so many problems confronting our present generation. Indeed, it is but proper for us all to be very discerning and careful in the choice of our candidates for both the national and local government posts.
For now, let me endorse the best 4 candidates for the senate namely, Dick Gordon, Marwil Llasos, Bam Aquino and Sonny Angara. I highly believed that these 4 gentlemen are the most competent and forward looking visionary people who can best serve the Filipino people given the delicate competitiveness of the global scenario not just today but more so in the near future. This is not to mention the rising tension and conflicts in almost all parts of the world particularly those relating to Asia like the Korean Peninsula, the Sabah issue, the East China Sea and the West Philippines Sea.
We are encouraging your comments and recommendation so that all of us will have a wise and informed choice this coming election. Let us give the best opportunities for the next generation so that they can have better lives more than what we have today. Cheers!!!
