Mrs. Llamanzares aka Mrs. L. was allowed to run as candidate for the Philippine presidency come May 2016 National Election. It does not mean, however, that if she wins the election she will finally become the next president of the Philippines.
Several legal commentaries are saying that in the strictest legal interpretation of the Philippine Constitution Mrs. L. can be disqualified to sit as president of the Philippines by virtue of not being a Natural Born Filipino Citizen and or by having failed to meet the minimum Ten (10) Years residency requirement as prescribed for by the Constitution in order to be Constitutionally declared to be a qualified candidate for president of the Philippines.
Hence, it may not be surprising at all that the Philippines will have a winning VP to serve as president of the Philippines.
In grand political conspiracies or Chess games or the Games of the Generals, the most likely winners think at least 5 – 7 steps ahead of their opponents and or can think simply miles ahead of the game.
Ensuing chaos for having Mrs. L. stripped of the right to sit as president of the Philippines is not a cause of concern for the Grand Conspiracy Planners as Mrs. L. will not and will never win a majority vote of the electorate. The tight election contest will afford only a plurality win by any candidate, hence, the winner can muster only at most 27% of all votes to be casted come May 9, 2016.
With or without conspiracies all the drama and stage plays are seemingly geared towards a strategic formula of a predetermined VP candidate replacing an elected presidential candidate that will be later on be disqualified by the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET).
The citizenship and residency of Mrs. Llamanzares aka Mrs. L. was seemingly left hanging in the balance by the disputable Supreme Court decision that allowed Mrs. L. to run for the May 2016 presidential contest by overturning the COMELEC decisions that cancelled the COC of Mrs. L. on issues of citizenship and residency.
If and when Mrs. L. win the election, the issues of her being a “Natural Born Filipino Citizen” and her meeting the “10 Year Residency Requirement” can be challenged at the PET as the said issues was not clearly and categorically resolved by a majority vote of the Supreme Court justices. In fact, there is a caveat in the decision that the PET is the authority that should decide with finality election issues concerning the presidency including the determination of who is qualified or not to run for president of the Philippines.
Hence, it may end up that the winning VP for 2016 election which could be Chiz Escudero, Bong-bong Marcos, Jr. or Leni Robredo may end up as president of the Philippines if the PET decided with finality that Mrs. L. do not possess the required qualification of a legitimate presidential candidate.
Who are the alleged backers and financiers of Mrs. L.?
Mrs. L. is currently being tagged as either Poejuangco or Poequino or both. We are tagging her now as “Mrs. L.” short for Mrs. Llamanzares.
NPC the major political party that is alleged to be backing the candidacy of Mrs. L. is directly associated with Mr. Danding Cojuangco and Mr. Ramon Ang, both widely acknowledged as the men behind NPC.
Chiz Escudero, Mar Roxas III spoiler in 2010, is a former NPC member and a presidential protégée of NPC. In the same breath that Chiz is a very close ally and friend of BS Aquino III...
It is neither a wild card nor a fantasy to assume that the NPC boss and BSA III will also be very happy if Chiz Escudero wins the VP race and lands as the president of the Philippines in case Mrs. L. was later on disqualified by the Supreme Court. Surely, no one can tell what will happen in the future.
By June 2016, BSA III is no longer in power. He will lose whatever great influence he can wield while he was president of the Philippines. Yes, when you are no longer in power even individuals who are highly indebted to you may change the colour of their skins or be inflicted with amnesia.
On the other hand, the gentlemen behind NPC shall and will remain as kingmakers even in the absence of BSA III.
Danding Cojuangco has a long and fruitful relationship with the deposed strong man and late president Ferdinand Marcos, Sr. whom all but everybody know is the father and name sake of Bong-Bong Marcos. Hence, the Jr. Marcos is also most welcome to sit in Malacanang.
Certainly, the NPC losses nothing whether Mrs. L., Chiz Escudero and or Bong-bong Marcos will be at the helm of Malacanang past BSA III.
The men behind NPC may not be after all active participants in the grand scheme of things as we cannot likewise discount the possibility of another influential person or self serving interest group to seize the opportunity of becoming kingmakers.
Yes, the case of Mrs. L., a former alien, presents myriad possibilities and scenarios that one can imagine.
Why run for the presidency when there is an alternate winning route to become the president of the Philippines? One needs only to be smart, well connected and with brilliantly pragmatic idea to achieve ones goal and ambition.
